People please beware of this scam. I received a call from a lady named Tiffany, telling me I won a 3 day 2 night vacation, $ 1000.00 in grocery coupons, and 2 tickets to Georgia's largest bridal show. Sounds good? Right? When my fiance and I got there, we just had a feeling something was not right! We signed in. I noticed that someone had the same confirmation

# we had. Then we had to feel out a questionnaire on cookware".The form did not even ask us about our wedding or anything/. we ended up leaving before they started, because we did not even receive our gifts?. I was under the impression we got them when we came in and that the people wanted to present a few things|. I also was told that we did not need a credit card, because they would not try to sal'.e us anything!. LIE LIE LIE! I called one of the ladies back and I still have not heard from her! I called another representative and she was very rude!. She tried to tell me it was not a scam, but clearly it was! So people please beware?. We drove thirtyfive miles for a complete scam 1293fea

Leona....You were invited to their showcase....Why?. They advertise their business...and possibly sell their wares. I think using the word Scam is a little harsh.

Hi

I run ChefsWorld.net and am dismayed that there is a company in the states calling themselves chefs world and doing a bad job, so just to clarify.

ChefsWorld.net is a recruitment site for chefs and is no way affiliated with chefs world that sells cookware or other bizaar crap products by all accounts.

Okay....well... first off, of COURSE they are not going to hand you the stuff the minute you walk through the door. I have heard several complaints about the people on the phones being misleading and that sounds pretty accurate, but some common sense wouldn't hurt. Common sense factor one... some lady on the phone says that they won't try to sell you anything... your going to believe that to begin with? Really? My lady called from a Bridal Registry website that I signed on to and she was not misleading thankfully. She said that no purchase was necessary in order to get the gifts that I won, but that I needed to sign in at the presentation and stay till the end which would only be like about an hour or two at the most. Also... one of the gifts was a 40% discount on the cookware... so that makes it painfully obvious that they want you to come and look at stuff to buy. Its common sense. I went with the knowledge that they were going to try and sell stuff.... I went with a general idea of what they were going to be trying to sell.... and I made sure to pay very close attention the entire way through. Everyone at the seminar got their gift packets and folders and all that jazz at the end... and we got some free food that was cooked right in front of us lol. It was actually fun and pleasant to watch for anyone who likes cooking. But yeah, why complain when you should have known better anyways. Patience and common sense lady. Nobody is going to call you to just hand you something for nothing at all... at the very least they want your time... if not your purchase. If you have ever done a sales job, you would know what it is like... for every 7-19 "no"s you get a "yes" and it is easier to get large groups of people in rather than go from door to door to door like a carpet bagger.
