Me and my fiance went to a bridal show and we got a phone call saying we won a trip and all that all we had to do was go to the demonstration. So we went expecting then to actually cook food in front of us to show us the product no we got a video displaying it. So we was skecptical but still gave it a shot because we like the grill pan We live in a apartment and can't get a grill, so we thought this would be nice. But anyways put money down and went on the layaway program.... I asked what the return policy was and the salesperson said oh our products are so good you won't need it. But I asked again what is it. He said oh you can return if you are disatisfied (LIE!!)... Well turns out after waiting 3 weeks for the pan we recieved it stratched and nicked up. So I idmediatly returned it to who it was shipped from which was in a different state and company from chefworld. So me and my fiance decided we wanted to cancel the reshipment and everything cause we didn't want to pay for that and mess with having to reship again or anything. So I talked to someone from chef world which by the way was rude. And said we wanted to return it. She said we couldn't we only had 3 days from the purchase. I told her the sales guy said we could when ever. She said no you have only 3 days. I wasn't to happy with this". How are we supposed to know if we even like the product if we don't get it for 2-3 weeks after the purchase thats not right/. She said well that is all you have if you don't want that product we will gladly replace with something else I said no I don't want anything else we was expecting a product good and it wasn't and we don't want it?. So what you are telling me is that I am stuck paying you guys for something we don't even want or could even see if we like before the days was up thats not right|. So she referred me to a car like when you buy a car thats it'. you don't get a return or anything which is not true you have up to a week to return and you get to try it out first?. So then she preceeds to tell me well that is why you go to the show room to see the products:. Well they was just sitting there and didn't get to actually see if they work! I told her what is in the showroom is different then what you recieve and this isn't right,. So we recieved the replacement pan and it seemed to be in good shape so we used it and from one time use cooking on LOW there is brown and white marks on the bottom of the pan that won't come off like this pan have been used for years!!!!! I am not happy with this product or company at all!!!!!! Its sad when the pan I got from walmart for $10 is a *** of alot better!!!!!!!! DO NOT BUY FROM THEM YOU ARE PAYING ALOT FOR CRAP!!!!!! 1293f8e

Hi, Chef_ang, I just recently came across this site because I am looking for a way out of this contract with Chef World. I came across your complaint and another user's, Steph0623, and both of your complaints match to mine just about dead on.

My fiancee and I were invited to the demonstration show, and it was by phone, and so we went, thinking it was good. He demonstrated ONE of the pots, showed us a video, and so we figured we'd give it a shot. He also told us that if we were not satisfied at ANY TIME that we could return the pots and receive a refund of what we had paid (if anything so far). But when we used the pots, which wasn't for a couple of weeks because we didn't have the time, they ruined our food. They did not work AT ALL like the man said they would. We called the Chef World place in Monroe, NY, and the guy on the phone basically insulted us and implied that we were *** and not using the pots right, and refused to listen to us when we told him what the man had said about returning the pots. He said that we were not able to return them after the three day period. And also, we were not given the opportunity to read the contract until AFTER we had already signed it. The man on the phone told us that he would schedule a day for the salesman to come out to our home and demonstrate to us how to use them and what might have gone wrong. To this day, we have not heard from them, and we called them around November or December of 2010. I may have found a loophole though, if you wish to discuss that with me, contact my e-mail, .

You Listen you can't be made at me for the experience I had with this company. Im glad you had a good experience, but I didn't and still haven't the company will not work with me on anything any time I try to call they are always rude like I am interrupting there day. Plus the rep told us we would have any interest on the pan as long as we pay on time. And we just discovered we have 24% interest on it so only half our payment goes to the pan rest to interest so we are never going to be able to pay this off in a good amount of time!

Listen, I'm not sure what you're talking about. I'm a happy Chefworld customer and have been for a long time. The products are terrific and we loved the vacation voucher they offered.
